ALESIS HR-16 HIGH SAMPLE RATE/16 BIT DRUM MACHINE
The Alesis HR-16 is the ultimate 80s MIDI drum sequencer and sound generator for any musician or producer.
The HR-16 boasts 16 independent drum “voices,” each of which can be assigned to any one of 49 digital samples. These voices can be tuned independently in 32 separate increments over an octave and a half, giving you complete control over the sound of each drum hit. The drum pads at the front of the machine are also velocity-sensitive, allowing for dynamic and expressive performances.
But the HR-16 isn’t just about sound generation – it also offers powerful sequencing capabilities. With up to 100 patterns in its memory, each ranging from 1 to 682 beats long, you have endless possibilities for creating drum patterns. You can then combine patterns into lists of patterns called “songs,” of which there can be up to 100 in the HR-16’s memory. Each song can contain a list of patterns up to 255 steps long, giving you the ability to create complex arrangements.
